You may remember when I made the front doormat out of FLOR floor tile samples, I wrote about it here. I didn't quite have enough to complete the mat originally, but my other samples just came today! So I was able to complete the Lacebark Pearl doormat.

I went with a more muted pattern/color in the living room to tie into the curtains, and wall color, and because I didn't really want to draw attention to the place where you wipe off your feet as you come in the door. It should really fade into the background, you know?

However, in the laundry room, since there isn't really anything else in there to catch your eye (other than the awesome quote on the wall), I figured I could have more fun. So the other package that came today was also from FLOR, and it held 15 samples of Ins & Outs Leaf.

So, like the other rug, I set about with my trusty duct tape, and put that bad boy together! You may recall the scrap piece of carpet we had leftover from the master bedroom, that we were using as a doormat, but once we had the rug in the living room, it moved to the laundry room. Well no more! It just made it's way to the trash can! You can see the before & after photos below!

And the coolest part is that the new rug matches the paint color, shown here...
