You may recall that I'm devoting most of the week to our trip to Monroe a few weeks back. Day 2 of our trip proved quite busy, with a trip to the family furniture store (Sanders Furniture Company... like them on Facebook!), then over to Amici's where William was setting up for the big Georgia game! The kids really enjoyed the upstairs game room...

After enjoying some lunch, and watching the game, we made our way over to Heritage Day at the William Harris Homestead! The weather was perfect and the house was incredible, built in 1825!

How amazing is this wallpaper?

The event was to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War. There was a camp reenactment, that we missed, but we did see the band!

And there were crafts for the kids...

All the cousins made these cornhusk angels. And then they went for a pony ride...

There was also some cotton pickin'!

Come back tomorrow, when we spend some time on the family farm!
