Month 9

Happy 9-month birthday!

At 9 months old, you love sitting and playing.
You are starting to crawl, but mostly in reverse!
We still try to get out for evening walks before dinner.
And your routine is pretty much the same as last month.

You had your 9 month well check,
and everything was great.
Here are your current stats:
weight: 19 lbs 4 oz (70%)
height: 28.25 in (75%)
head circumference: 17.5 in (60%)

Food: You are no longer breastfeeding :(
The thrush was the end of that,
just in time for National Breastfeeding Month.
And I'm actually no longer pumping, as of your 9-month birthday.
You have a bottle first thing in the morning,
and you still get 3 bottles (5 oz ea) at daycare...
as well as food for breakfast and lunch!
Dinner in the evenings, usually meat and some sort of veggies,
and another bottle before bed.

Sleep: You are sleeping through the night... typically from 8:30pm to 6:30am,
although you seem restless at certain times of the night lately. Could just be the medicine.

Clothing size: You are wearing 9-month clothes,
as well as 6-12 month clothes (Old Navy).
You have started wearing a few 12-month outfits.

Toys: You are all about rolling balls or your toy car now.
You still play with the stacking bowls, and even plastic cups keep you entertained.
You have another plush stacking toy that your great grandmomma got you,
so that's been the latest craze.

Each ring makes a different rattling sound when you shake or squeeze it.

Still enjoying your exersaucer in limited spurts,
but would rather be on the floor practicing your new found crawling skills.

New tricks include:
a strange little Popeye-looking face that you do with your mouth
waving 'hello' and 'goodbye' (kind of)
clicking your tongue

Book of the Month:  Cousin Ellie let you borrow one of her old books,
that has different animals that you can feel their fur.
And you are all about textures, so it is perfect for you!
